NYC-based gadz group gathering took place in February. On Thursday, February 15th, a group of gadz'arts led by Sasha Ghebali, West Coast Zident, gathered for Happy Hour in one of NYC bars.

It looks like they enjoyed being together.

Thank you, Sacha, for sharing this picture below with AFAM.

Traditional French Galette des rois was organized in Houston on the 17th of January 2024. French Consulate in Houston hosted the event at the initiative of the gadz group based in Texas. We would like to thank Patrice Brossard (Bo 195), DG Amériques, who came up with the idea and helped organizing this event!

A&M students and alumni as well as French speaking University professors and faculty members gathered to celebrate the Epiphany.

This was a great occasion to connect, discuss and feel a sense of belonging to a big French speaking community in Houston.

Looking forward to seeing other Houston-based events in partnership with the French consulate!

Galette des Rois 2024 occured in Saratoga on January 14th during Martin Luther King Jr. long weekend. This event is a traditional gadz'arts gathering in the Bay Area to kick off the new year. Brookside Club of Saratoga has been a meeting point for this beginning of the year event for both students and alumni of Arts et Metiers living, studing and working in San Francisco Bay Area. It is also a friendly place for gad'zarts families - spouses and children.

This year we also had two alumni who came from Las Vegas and LA area to join the community for Galette des Rois in Saratoga!

Thank you very much to Aurore Prevot (Li 198) for the delicious galettes and to Yarith Phay (Bo 191) and Nicolas Horde ( Ai 214) for organizing the event.

If you want to know more about upcoming SF bay area gadz events, please join our new Whatsapp group. Please contact AFAM community manager or West Coast zident to get a whatsapp link.
